NOLLER/SYLLA Education Bios

Having worked together for over 10 years in a variety of settings, Jeremy Noller and Mangue Sylla began collaborating on their eponymous project NOLLER/SYLLA in 2013. Inspired by Sylla’s debut recording Kon Koura, Noller adapts traditional West African rhythms and melodies for this unique ensemble. Released on Outside In Music on March 15th, 2019, their self-titled EP features an all-star cast of New York jazz musicians. From the start, Jeremy and Mangue have been developing an educational component to this project with the hope of sharing this music with students around the world. For the 2020-2021 school year they are pleased to offer a variety of master classes, performance opportunities, and community engagement workshops to learners of all ages throughout the US.
